María Medem (Seville, 1994) is an artist trained in Fine Arts. Painter, illustrator and comic artist, her style, although it seems to be based on the classic Moebius, is based on Japanese authors such as Ka tsushika Hokusai or Ikko Tanaka, and mainly aims to create a landscape of estrangement, usually with water as a common element, wanting to represent frustration and loneliness. With his first full-length work, Cenit, he won the Best New Author Award at Barcelona Cómic and the ACDCómic Award. He has also produced works for foreign publishers, such as Fidèle editions, which have been distributed in Spain.
