He studied sculpture mainly. He has also worked in the art department on Spanish live action film productions such as feature films, short films and commercials. After directing and animating several commissioned films through his collective Engranaje, Metamorphosis is his first short film, co-directed with Carla Pereira.
Carla is a stop-motion animator recognized for her collaboration in different animated productions such as, the Mexican feature films Inzomnia (2014), directed by Luis Téllez, the Norwegian Hakkebakkeskogen (2016), and the awarded Isle of dogs (2018), directed by Wes Anderson. Her first short film as cocreator, Metamorfosis, was nominated for Best Animated Short Film in the 35th edition of the Goya Awards. In 2020 she directed her first solo short film, ‘Proceso de selección’, a stop motion animated short film produced by TV ON Producciones.
