Film essay about the rejected image. The selection of the photographs creates a tale to narrate us. What snapshots do we consider imprecise, defective? What is the history that we remove from our life tale? What do we find in those discards?
Xacio was born in Xove (Lugo), in 1983. He studied Cinematography at the University of León, specializing in Editing. After collaborating on all kinds of short films, documentaries, formats, etc. Performing primarily editing and post-production tasks, he decides to step up to directing. Produces, writes and directs several short films, including Eco (2015), Ser e voltar (2014) and Anacos (2012). He has participated in various festivals such as Locarno, New directors / New Films - MoMA, Festival de San Sebastián, Viennale, Clermont-Ferrand, Telluride Film Festival, Mar del Plata, BAFICI or Slamdance. His first fiction feature film Trote premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in 2018.
