What are you trying to express in 'Padam...'?
To talk about people who are very alone. It is a story about friendship and tolerance, even more so than love.
Is it a comedy?
I prefer the definition of drama with a sense of humour. Dramatic themes are touched with the freshness of a comedy.
The short film is built upon the interpretations of the actors. 'Padam' in reality are Ana Rayo and Marko Mihailovic. They are the body and soul of the project. The experience could not have been better.
You studied drama and textual interpretation. To what degree are those skills evident in 'Padam...'?
Mainly in the way the actors are handled. I feel comfortable with them, I try to understand them and enjoy their work twice as much as a result.
The word 'Padam...' is Croatian, as is the star. What does it mean?
It means something like 'to fall'. The main character falls, manages to get up and returns to life in another way. 'Padam' is everything and nothing at the same time, and this is decided by the viewer of the film.
