The
cinematographic activity of
ALCINE is not limited to the week of the festival. Behind the big screen the
hard work continues all year round. One of the main commitments of the organizers is to
exhibit the award-winning work beyond national borders.
Over the last few months, many of the short films
awarded prizes in this year's festival have been screened at a range of cinematographic events. ALCINE - the Alcalá de Henares/ Comunidad de Madrid film festival recently presented its selection of short films at the
II Latin-American Festival of Short Films in Barinas (Venezuela), held from the 25th of July to the 2nd of August.
ALCINE also participated in cinematographic events in
Abu Dhabi in the
United Arab Emirates (Emirates Film Competition), in the
Festival de CineLatino in Tübingen -Stuttgart and in the
Festival of Spanish Cinema in Hamburg (Germany). And on the 21st of September ALCINE's short films will be screened at the
MadridFest in the
Region of Madrid, a date on which the most important festivals of the region will be showcased in the former brewery of El Águila.
In addition to the screenings,
ALCINE's management team has also been active on the
jury of international cinematographic events such as the
II Latin-American Festival of Short Films in Barinas, Venezuela, and the
30 Kortfilmfestivalen in Grimstad, Norway.
