The fame of the Alcalá de Henares / Comunidad de Madrid Film Festival is basically down to its short film competitions. But for some years now, ALCINE has also made room for feature films; essentially for new filmmakers (Open Screen) and independent directors and work (Zero Screen). Each of them with their audience awards.
Zero Screen has already screened the bulk of its content, although there is still Capa caída and Amor tóxico to come. Open Screen on the other hand, begins screenings today Wednesday with A cambio de nada, the directing debut of the actor Daniel Guzmán. Then there will be Requisitos para ser una persona normal, the debut work of another actor Leticia Dolera, and next week, on Wednesday and Thursday, we will be treated to the some of the best premieres of this year’s new crop of filmmakers: Las altas presiones, by Ángel Santos; Los héroes del mal, by Zoe Berriatúa; No todo es vigilia, by Hermes Paralluelo, and Sexo fácil, películas tristes, by Alejo Flash.
